Simple flat panel with scalloped bottom, made to look like an awning. Trim is glued on (it was faster!). Saw this idea on HGTV. Sheers are purchased.

Kitchen Valance - Sliders

This was actually a retro-fit of a bedskirt/valance from a previous home. I re-pieced sections of this simple gathered valance, re-stitched the channel for the hardware and the result is a quick window treatment for the kitchen. It was supposed to be temporary, but I haven't found anything I like better yet.
